Each of these glass blueberry beads is individually handmade with a degree of realism that you will not find anywhere else. I can make them in any size ranging from 4mm to 16mm in diameter and in varying degrees of ripeness from entirely green, through blushing red, to fully ripe. No two are exactly alike. This makes them ideal for use in high quality art jewelry. I would be happy to create exactly the selection you desire for your project.

The flower stars on these beads have been slightly thickened and the edges rounded to prevent them from snagging on clothing or skin and to make them sturdier. The surface colors are created with powdered glass that is completely melted into the blueberry so the color will not rub, flake or chip off.

The 20 gauge copper wire stems are embedded into the glass of each bead so they cannot be pulled free. They have been allowed to accumulate some fire scale and oxidation in order to appear more naturally colored. The copper is quite flexible so the stems can readily be shaped into loops for hanging. As with all wire, care should be taken to avoid re-bending the stems so many times that they are subject to metal fatigue.
