The Glass Strawberry Necklace you see here features one of my handmade glass ripe strawberries paired with a light or dark green glass leaf. The strawberry is about 18mm high. Both charms are suspended on Sterling Silver figure-eight chain. The copper wire stem of the strawberry is embedded inside the glass and cannot be pulled free. Like real strawberries, each is made with dozens of individual seeds set into tiny depressions on its surface. The leaves of each strawberry have been melted onto the surface and their tips slightly rounded so they will not chip or snag on clothing. These beads are hand-formed in the flame of a torch from colored glass. As a result, the color will not rub, flake or chip off, and no two strawberries are exactly alike.
The standard length for the figure-eight chain you see above is 20 inches and it is finished with a lobster clasp. You may wear it at any length you please by clipping the lobster into the link of your choice. The free end of the chain is finished with a small matching glass leaf. Different lengths and clasp styles are available by special order. Like all of my jewelry, this design is available in both Sterling Silver and 14/20 Gold-Filled.
